It pains me to miss this. ・・・ Tonight! Stephanie Nilles plays Charles Mingus at GPS. 8pm / 10$. Stephanie Nilles comes home to Thomas to play a program of the music of Charles Mingus. Stephanie started dipping into the works of this monstrous composer back in 2008, and has returned to his songs intermittently since, each time leaving them behind feeling like a lightweight exiting the boxing ring, defeated. Tonight she attempts yet again to approach them, this time solo, in preparation for a December recording project in Germany.
